9th May 25. Deja Vu !

Almost a copy of yesterday's delivery and collection. Today was another job from The prep centre in Leighton Buzzard driving north, This time to Chorley in Lancashire then to the same dealer group RRG but this time in Bury. However it was to collect another red FIAT 500. This time and automatic version.

This time, thankfully, there was no repeat of the strange offer at the prep centre. And having had a day to think about it. I can only imagine the number of older men who would actually have driven this girl somewhere and how many things could have potentially gone wrong for either of them. The possibilities are actually horrible to think about.

So I cracked on with finding the car avoiding people and getting out on the road.

One of about 3500 ready to go

The car was blocked in but the man in the office helped extract it for me and I got it washed and appraised and this time hit the correct button on the screen to update later.

All signed for. I headed for the nearest fuel station at Morrisons (cheap fuel) fuelled up and headed to the M1 for the almost exact same journey as yesterday

But today the destination was only a few minutes off the M6 in Chorley

The options for getting from Chorley to Bury we many. Cheapest by bus. But over 2 hours. Train.

Bury to Aylesbury

That was from Buckshaw Parkway station to Bolton then an Uber to the dealership.

The train times were an hour and a half apart. So if I missed the next train. And it was close. It's a long day and not getting back. The price difference between the train tickets and the shorter Uber journey and the longer Uber journey was only £8.00

So I summoned an Uber. And he drove the 41 minutes while I caught up on my accounts and writing this nonsense.

Arriving at RRG Bury at 13.15. was great. I had called ahead and the car was waiting for me.

Nice touch.

I did my appraisal. Said thank you and headed for fuel and the M6 again .

This time I needed to get through and out of Bury on the A56. Turn onto the M60 Manchester ring road and then the M62 to the M6 South

Another car delivered on a hot and sticky Friday afternoon.

This weather can stay as long as it likes.

Good to be alive.
