8th January 26 Come Down
After the last week's trips up the east coast to Inverness and across to Campbelltown and home. Today's journey was a horrible come down. Carlisle to Aylesbury and the south of England, is a journey I have done numerous times over the last 45 years or so. And now it takes longer than ever, due to traffic and today's motorway driving unawareness. Basically awful driving practices. So it's just a 60-70 mph relax, when possible and M6, M42, M40 to Bicester and A41 boring drive.

7th January 26 Campbeltown to Carlisle.
I had been looking forward to today since I booked this job last month. This was going to be worth the long wait yesterday at Buchanan Street Bus station in Glasgow and that four hour bus journey. Some local knowledge of course was welcomed at breakfast from the Hotel proprietor who mentioned a few things to see for someone who also had a six hour drive ahead. So after the amazing breakfast and home made marmalade. After this, it's a diet and more exercise. Scottish Breakfast

11th July 25. King's Lynn and back
A simple delivery today in that there is a part exchange coming back. These jobs are always very welcome as no public transport needs to be paid for. Not that I don't like traveling by train. I actually enjoy it mostly. But when you save the cost of it. That's only good for the bottom line. It was a job delivering a new, actually pre-registrated MGS 5 to it's buyer near Kings Lynn. and bringing back the customers old MG5 estate. Both cars are electric but the new one was full

6th January 26. Waking in The Highlands
After a great night's sleep at the Havelock in Nairn. I had a 9.16 train from Nairn to Glasgow to catch. So Breakfast at 8.00 which was a real traditional Scottish Breakfast. Pot of tea. As Cappuccino was either not possible or unknown here. My great day ended right there. The treacherous walk in the snow and slush to the station. Turned into a treacherous walk back because the train was cancelled. As was the next one an hour later. Thank you Scott rail for absolutely no inf

My working 2026 starts today. I said before I wanted something different to start the year. Over the next few days I will be going from Carlisle to Newcastle, from there to Inverness. Then across to Campbelltown on Western Scotland. Then back to Carlisle before home. Thursday or Friday. Starting on the train from Carlisle to Newcastle, actually the station at the Metro centre. To collect a 2025 Ford Transit from Enterprise to be driven the 6 hours to Inverness. The train lef

10th July 25
Another day heading to Leighton Buzzard to the prep centre to collect another new Peugeot 2008 for delivery to a customer. This time to Bristol. Prep centre Leighton Buzzard Appraisal done and as usual the car had no fuel and needed cleaning. Luckily this company I get the job from, repays any fuel and cleaning costs. This portal even covers your insurance. So if you want to start this work, joining this portal, while not easy, is the most cost effective way to get started. T

2nd January 2026
Happy New Year to anyone reading.I decided yesterday that as it's a new year. I'll now try and post on the day I'll drip feed in when possible some of the more interesting days from last July 25 to the end of the year. The reason for this is the journey I'm starting today. Travelling north to Carlisle to stay with family for the weekend. Which, is not the easiest day to travel but from Monday I have an exciting few days. Going from Newcastle on Tyne to Inverness. Nairn, to be

9th July 25. Kia Day.
Today was the start of the expansion of my business. Five jobs to do today. One to deliver the Kia Stonic I collected from Newport, Wales last Friday. Which had been safely stored until today. For delivery to Tates Kia Pyecombe. Brighton. A dealer I , and millions of others have driven past on the A23 from London to Brighton. This place has a strong memory for me. Back in the 90s, 94 to be exact. I had been working as a manager in a Honda motorcycle dealer in London. We sold
