A simple delivery today in that there is a part exchange coming back. These jobs are always very welcome as no public transport needs to be paid for. Not that I don't like traveling by train. I actually enjoy it mostly.
But when you save the cost of it. That's only good for the bottom line.
It was a job delivering a new, actually pre-registrated MGS 5 to it's buyer near Kings Lynn.

and bringing back the customers old MG5 estate. Both cars are electric but the new one was fully charged on collection and I was told the customer promised to charge the one coming back.
The weather again was very hot. The new MG drove very well and was a great improvement in many ways to the old MG5. But, this one is more of a small SUV than a estate car. Which the outgoing MG5 definitely was. MG had obviously ironed out the media system issues the old model had. Which if you have ever had or driven one. You will know it's not the easiest thing to understand and even when you do. It doesn't do what you want. Ever.
This time the system was great and simple connection by USB meant I had all my Android auto functions available. Which, if you remember I use to save adding my phone and using the customers sat-nav. So keeping it clean for them.

Leaving Aylesbury at 9.30 it actually took two and a half hours to get to the customer. Arriving at mid-day he was ready to give the car the once over and actually hadn't ever seen one before. I thought at one point they were going to ask me to take it back.

He had bought the MG5 I was talking back two years ago. And done only 2500 miles in it. Given it must have deprecated around 50% in that time, if not more. I wondered at the mental state of these people. As the two and a half thousand miles must have cost them £15,000 I'm guessing. But on the side of caution. It was probably more. So without running costs like electric charge costs. Insurance. The car has cost him £6.00 per mile. Madness.
And the car I was talking back was in better condition than the new one. Certainly cleaner.

Job done. Customer signed both appraisals and I madey way back to Aylesbury.
I always go via the A10 to Kings Lynn as I love the road through the fens. In sunshine like today it is a pleasure.
I also saw the smallest chip shop. Where the customer lived.
