30th April 25

Updated: Oct 1

After yesterday's very long day. I finally got the Vauxhall charged fully and walked to collect it around 9pm. It was a lovely spring evening and the days were getting longer now. The weather over the last few months has been mostly dry and warm, with very little rain. When I lived in Sicily. One of the attractions was the climate. However in the south east of the island and due to the volcano the climate was actually quite wet in the autumn and winter. And surprisingly cold, especially at night. From March to June it was great. But then July, August and into September it's oppressively hot. That year it hardly dropped below 40 degrees in July and August. The cold you can protect yourself from. The heat you can't. Air conditioning is ok but you can't live 24/7 with it. Having it on all night is not a good option. I ended up sleeping in the much smaller spare room that had a ceiling fan. Another good tip in the heat to help you sleep is to get a fine spray bottle, fill with water, keep it in the fridge. before you go to bed, spray the bed with a fine cold mist of water. Try it, it works

I arrived at the customers house nr Dartford at 8.30. she was about to do the school run so very quickly signed my appraisal and left. She unfortunately missed the various scuffs and the bad valeting.

The station to get me back to Aylesbury eventually was Falconwood station. A twenty five minutes walk. As it was another beautiful day and I like a city walk. In fact I prefer it to the countryside. This was a pathway just next to and along the A2. I made it in good time and got the next train into London Charing Cross .

I was heading to Aylesbury to collect another Electric vehicle. This time a Peugeot e208 which was going to Lancing West Sussex.

So arrived at Charing Cross and it's an easy direct northbound four stop underground journey from there to Marylebone on the Bakerloo line. I just managed to get the 10.57 to Aylesbury. And arrived there and hour later and again walked the mile from the station to the dealership.

The next job to deliver the Peugeot was a retail delivery and a last minute month end deal to count in the month. I do not miss that madness at all.

The Peugeot was ready and fully charged this time. They were pre warned..as if not. It wouldn't be delivered today.

This was a couple of hours drive. I left at 12.45 and arrived at 15.00 .. good going as the traffic was light. Thankfully

The customer was delighted with his new car. Asking loads of questions and kindly, in return. Took me to the station to get back home.

Lovely people and I was happy to spend a bit of time explaining the car. This isn't part of my job or something that is expected. But it's one of the reasons I get so much direct work from a lot of dealers. And it's a service you can offer.

We show you how when you sign up and join our programs. Here

From Lancing station it's a journey to Victoria station then the Victoria line north to Oxford Circus. Change quickly to the Bakerloo line and onwards to Marylebone and Home to Aylesbury

Another month finished
