After the lucky break yesterday when I got a job from Oxford to deliver a Motability return to a dealer in Worksop. It was a very low mileage, below 4500 actually. 2020 Ford Kuga. So it got me home yesterday from Oxford and today, it will get me a stone throw away from Barnsley and the job I had for collection today and deliver to Aylesbury..
So leaving in time to get to Worksop for 9.00am. which meant a six o'clock start and drove the 129 miles and actually arrived around 8.25 which with a quick acceptance and signature of the Kuga. I walked the few minutes to Worksop station and managed to get the 9.11 train.

To Barnsley from here. It's a direct train taking only under an hour. Which meant I was there just after 10.00am to collect the car to get back to Aylesbury.

The dealer in Barnsley for collection of the automatic Citroen, a nice looking car in the colour and actually drove well for a small auto.
If only the dealership ran as well as this car. It's a huge multi franchise site and as usual, nobody wants to deal with a lowly driver and have to move from their desk and actually do their job.
I was sent to another area from the Citroen site. Where I eventually was told the car was actually at the Citroen site. I suppose if the original person had bothered looking up from his sudden very important work. He might have actually known where his own stock was located.
One of the first things I remember doing when I was in his position. Was to get a stock list and go out and put my hands on every car. Open it. Start it, make sure it's clean and ready for sale. Make sure the price is correct in the screen. Nobody does this now.

Car eventually collected I made my way to the M1 southbound and the longish drive to Aylesbury.
