I walked the one mile exactly to my old place of work in Aylesbury. Having left them in August 24 to get out of the automotive retail sector. I have spent the last few months researching this business I was on the other end of, for many year. Having booked many collection and delivery jobs as a retail manager. I understood the vast amount of work there is to be had. Now that most (serious) car dealership's are owned by very large corporation's, mostly foreign. Their desperation to sell more cars than the previous year, every year. Means that they are happy to have their entire stock available for sale by any branch. These dealer groups have 100, 200 or more sites. So thousands of cars available.
I know sales people. Nearly 99% of them do the minimum amount of work for any given task. So when confronted by a customer. They simply give in to the requirements and instead of trying to sell from their stock. Will look as pleased as a pig in shit to find the car 300 miles away because it has that one meaningless option the customer suggested they might like. The movement of cars, once an order is placed at modern dealers now is an automatic process for them. And most managers don't want to get involved, mostly due to their own workload. So whatever price is on that portal. I know how much to increase it by, simply to get that job. Inside information 😁 It's great It can be yours too.

This work for people like me, who are happy to be the "Remora fish" feeding of the whale's slipstream.
So I simply collected the brand new Ford Transit from The commercial department stuck my trade plates on it and Google mapped myself to Peart Hodge Clemco. Sheffield S13 9NR to deliver to the customer.
Having bought many vans this customer wasn't really interested or exited to receive their new van. So they signed my digital appraisal and I Uber'd my way out of there to get to Chesterfield's Bristol Street Motors to collect the second car, a 2023 Hyundai Bayon to deliver to Bristol Street Motors Banbury. A simple enough drive.
Having delivered the car around 5.00pm I then mapped my walk to the station in Banbury to get back to Aylesbury. The walk took me through a nice park, alongside a canal in Banbury next to some restaurants and to the station.
Unfortunately my next train was a long wait and I finally arrived back home at around 19.00. sorry about the photo. It was dark 😶

The train unfortunately passed through Bicester Village station where crowds of (Asian and Arabic) shoppers. Who obviously were running short of designer shoes and bags after Christmas and desperate for the latest, previous season design clothes and stuff. Let's have it right. Designer outlets are stuffed full of either old design stuff or, even more sinister absolute fake label stuff. Source: Book Gommorra by Roberto Saviano. Read it. Then go buy designer clothes!
This being one of my first posts for this blog. I have to explain. they are actually written on the move. usually on a train or walking. sometimes, by voice transcript.
So, Please excuse the bad spelling, writing or just something I missed. I am hoping you will get the drift.
So welcome aboard and join us in these journeys around the UK and a few European trips too.
