15th April 25. Early start, Late Finish.

Updated: Sep 15

My last job today is to deliver a car to a retail buyer for my customer in Aylesbury. This was arranged a week ago and this customer wanted, or could only take delivery of his car after 17.00. in Birmingham.

I agreed, as one late evening working would be acceptable now and then. When I first agreed, obviously my plan was to have an easy day working from home before collecting the car around three in the afternoon.

Of course then, I agreed to do a job in morning. So an early start and very late finish today.

So first job is from Banbury to Croydon. South London. A brisk walk to Aylesbury station and get the 6.55 to Princess Risborough, onwards to Haddenham and Thame Parkway before changing to Banbury.

Arriving at Banbury station. I walked to the Hyundai dealership to collect the car for delivery. I had made this walk previously in the opposite direction. That time it was dark. So in the daylight it was a very different walk along the canal.

Arriving at Hyundai Banbury I collected the 2022 Honda Jazz, did my appraisal had it signed and away to the M40 to head south to the M25 crawl around as slowly as possible to the A23 towards Croydon. Eventually finding the retail customers house in West Wickham. It was a 35 minutes walk to the West Wickham station. So summoned up an Uber as it was only £3.50.

Having already bought tickets yesterday. I took the train from there to Charing Cross Station. My ticket allowing the London underground journey to London Marylebone and back to Aylesbury in plenty of time to collect the car for this evening's job to Birmingham.

Buying train tickets sounds like an easy thing to do. It is. But, buying them as cheaply as possible isn't.

There are many sites that offer tickets and what's now called Split Ticketing. If you know. These sites, as good as they are. Don't always give you the cheapest or best option. Joining our programme will show you how to "cheat" this system and save money. I can guarantee you, that if you do this one thing when buying train tickets. You will get your program cost back in time. And this is only one thing we show you!

So arrived at Aylesbury. Went home for a quick lunch and coffee.

Then made my way to collect the second car of the day to go to Gotham Road Birmingham B26

This was a 2017 Seat Leon .

The customer bought it online, unseen and never driven one before. It turned out.

If people did their research properly. They would find out. This is the only way to buy a car safely.

Distance selling regulations are very strict, give the customer so much power to return the car, for just about any reason. For a period of time that would shock you. But dealers obviously don't advertise this fact.

Luckily, for the automotive retail industry, the buying public, especially the car buying public are made up of a large percentage of ego driven people who know it all. Try telling most men about cars buying. Buying online is the way to buy a car. Trust me.

So from Aylesbury finding the horrible A41 towards Bicester to pick up the M40 to Birmingham. Horrible, because the HS2 works trucks have destroyed the road surface and you always get stuck behind one.

Car then dropped off. Around 18.00 and a 32 minutes walk to Acocks Green Station.

As you can see a very long day. Arriving back in Aylesbury at nine thirty then the 15 minutes walk home.

Satisfying day two nice earning jobs.

Goodnight 😴
