25th February 25. Rude not to!

After a few days off to stay in a lovely little Scottish hotel on the Solway coast, to celebrate my sister's sixtieth birthday. Where God really showed us what real rain is. Flooded roads and weather that stopped us driving further north to Ayrshire. Which was a relief. So we stocked up with some good food and relaxed instead. Lovely. Did some DIY for my mother who wanted her kitchen redecorating and some shelves put up she bought. That was yesterday though. By the end of yesterday I was back searching for jobs. I found one locally to collect a car from Bradford and bring it back to Carlisle. It was some nice quick easy money. I know I was having time off . But it was rude not to!

So I left early morning to get the train to Bradford from Carlisle . Which is a cross country train and goes through some amazing countryside. I would attach photos, but the windows were so dirty it wasn't possible. Going via Shipley in Yorkshire it was a pleasant enough journey. Arrived in Bradford and walked the shortish distance to collect the Nissan Juke which was going back to Carlisle.

First time in Bradford and it's the UK city of culture this year and there was a launch of this event in the main square. I must come back and have a proper look around.

For today, the walk from the station to Renault dealership is a shortish walk going across the main square in Bradford which I was actually surprised how much was around the area. A lot of my trips are to places I have never visited and I always take a moment to think how lucky I am to have found this opportunity.
