After a nice relaxing day off yesterday . Well as relaxing as any day Liverpool are playing can be. It turned out to be a bit stressful as 2-0 up against Wolves and being our recent overconfident, casual and sloppy selves. We turned out first half dominance into a poor second half. And could easily have had a point or possibly none. From a 2-0 lead. But held on for the 3 points. Onwards to the title.
So today and early start as usual to Swansea by train

Leaving Aylesbury station to take the various trains to Princess Risborough, Oxford, Didcot Parkway onwards to Swansea. Next I changed at Swansea to a train station a short distance away called Goweron. I say a train, more like a 50s bus on rails going up a steep hill to arrive at a platform in the country somewhere. Not a real train station surely. My journey to Swansea passed the station of Aberfan. I'm old enough to remember this disaster, and passing this was a first time for me.

. I decided to walk the 40 minutes to the dealership to collect the Kia Sportage going back to Oxford. A dealer I do a lot of work for. I used to work with the general manager there and although he's a Manchester United fan. We do occasionally still speak civilly to each other.
The Kia was a typical countryside dealer car. Especially this dealer being a Subaru and Isuzu dealer. Obviously farmers being their main customer.
The car was filthy. Inside as well as out. Obviously sheep movement is not limited to trucks. It looked like a heard was kept at some point and for some reason in the car. Being Wales I hate to think 🤔
Car collected. Fuelled up at the next station. Where I stupidly, as I was hungry. Bought a hot sausage sandwich at the garage. Mistake. Opening it as I drove. I was too far to turn back and throw it at the woman who took my money. It had obviously been furnishing the hot display counter since Christmas.
The Kia drove ok and I got back to Oxford without fuss.
Jumped on the bus outside the dealership on Iffley road and into Oxford. Jumped off, having seen the Aylesbury bus at my stop, opposite and just got on in time for the hour back to Aylesbury bus station.
The 20 minutes walk home is always good to clear my head.
Another day complete.
