Early start today as I'm delivering the MG, I collected finally last night new battery was the remedy for the engine light that came on when I initially tried to collect the car last Saturday.
The car was going to Wigan, Lancashire. Or precisely a place called Orrell. Setting off around 5.30am the drive was a simple one. From Aylesbury to Bicester to pick up the M40 towards Birmingham. Then the M42 and M6 toll. Which I believe can save a minimum of 20 minutes and potentially longer given the morning traffic on the M6 through Birmingham. However the price now has gone from £9.60 for a car, to £10.30 Why do I use it? I probably shouldn't but the time saved is what I think about. Don't ask why.
The journey was good but for the ever present rain we seem to be suffering from. Paying for the beautiful spring we had last year no doubt.
Arriving at the customers house, having messaged my intented time of arrival earlier.

Appraisal done, shown the customer the basic controls and how the media works etc. and a short 9 minute walk to Orrell rail station.

A very small uninhabited station but the cold wind didn't mind keeping me company.
From there I was getting a train to Wigan Wallgate station. To catch the train to Aylesbury. Well, I mean the 5 trains to Aylesbury.
First from Wigan Wallgate I had a short walk to Wigan North Western

From there to Birmingham New Street, then Oxford to Princess Risborough and finally Aylesbury.

Getting back to Aylesbury in time to collect the car for tomorrow. Was a great result.
So from Aylesbury station a quick taxi to Land Rover Buckinghamshire.
I think they built this huge new site outside Aylesbury, to save calling it Land Rover Aylesbury. 😁
A Discovery Sport collected for tomorrows early start to Chelmsford.
Long day but a very rewarding one
