Yes working a Saturday again. Delivering the Hyundai Kona I collected yesterday. It was only going to Northwood, in North London so an early start not required.
The car wasn't ready yesterday in that it wasn't charged at at..so as well as that having to be done last night. I also had to tax the car. It was going to an elderly customer and I knew they would perhaps struggle to tax it as it needed to be done at the post office with the V5 and a V62 DVLA form to change the car from disabled status. At the same time.
I went back to the dealership first to get there agreement to pay me back immediately for the road tax. They agreed and I went to the post office nearby.
I went to pay and I couldn't using contactless. I only had my business debit card. For which I had no pin as I only use it in my Google wallet.
The only other cards I had were credit cards.. he wouldn't accept them either. My normal debit card I leave at home for my wife to use. Ok.
I had to drive back home. A further 25 minutes wasted. I got back to the post office. (Shop, with a post office point) And they had closed it for a break, which he hadn't said was going to happen when I had to leave the first time.
I eventually got the car taxed and made my way to the customer address near Harrow.

About an hour drive.
On arrival. It became clear this supposed easy job was just not going to be.
The elderly woman who was buying her first EV wanted everything explained. And I mean everything.
I really don't mind doing this as it's important to have the customer happy about her major purchase.
Most drivers doing this work come from vehicle recovery background. And don't really have the ability to offer this service. And the frustrating thing about this is they are killing the business with their cheap offerings. And dealers who simply have a bottom line to worry about. Keep trying to use these people. If you want to do this work you need to learn about how the customer should be treated. Join our program to learn this and much more
So well over an hour spent with the customer she finally was happy and gave me the paperwork and keys for the car she was part exchanging. A 2013 Nissan Juke.

The roads back were now the usual heavy Saturday afternoon civilian traffic. Slow and ponderous.
I arrived back in Aylesbury and went to drop off the Nissan and walked the five minutes to the Mercedes dealer. To collect the car I had promised to deliver tomorrow. Yes Sunday. In Wimbledon South West London.
But I arrived home shortly after lunchtime and at last some weekend time at home.
Until tomorrow anyway
