On Saturday I was monitoring the jobs on one of the many platforms I am connected to. And saw a job from Aylesbury to Chelmsford. I was going today to BCA Rochester again to collect a Ford Transit Luton van for my Aylesbury customer. And having travelled last week from Chelmsford to Rochester I knew it was an easy journey and this job would get me there and I get paid for it. It saves me around £30 on the train from Aylesbury. And I get paid for the job so I'm well over £130 ahead for the day. And I still have the original job income to add to the days total.
Not only that. The van I was collecting from Aylesbury was 2 minutes walk away. I knew the dealership was open on Sunday so I arranged to collect Sunday and then the van was at home ready to go early this morning.
It was a 2021 Peugeot van but had 158,500 miles on the clock and actually given the mileage was in great condition.

Leaving home to arrive at the auction house for around 8.30 was easy enough today it's only a few hours at most
However the conditions for driving today were horrendous. It was torrential rain and the M25 was busy with trucks and the spray was limiting visibility and driver's were just all over the place. The route was A41 from Aylesbury to the M25. Then round and off the London orbital motorway just before the Dartford crossing. To the A12.

Arriving at the auction. They checked me in and I parked up, did my appraisal and sheltered from the rain under cover, while I waited the 20 minutes for the Uber.
To Chelmsford station wasn't too long and I arrived early enough for the 9.30 to Liverpool Street.
I had a few minutes wait and found a coffee place on the platform. Now, I have a well documented rule. Never pay more than £3 for a cappuccino. Normally now it's closer to £5 at the normal places. Starbucks being the worst. However, due to Starbucks tax evasion policy. I never, ever buy from them.
One interesting fact about their tax "evasion," sorry avoidance, is they have a main holding company, based in a tax haven. This collects "Royalties" paid by the UK Starbucks. Making the UK business or businesses. Almost profit less. Therefore paying no tax. Avoiding hundreds of millions of Corporation tax every year.
The "Royalties are paid for the use of the Starbucks name and logo. This is not illegal I have add. Just immoral. In my opinion
They are not alone either.
Anyway back to the coffee. This coffee place at platform one at Chelmsford sells a regular, not small, cappuccino for £2.70
Not only that, it's a bloody good coffee too.
I have to mention them as very friendly and great coffee and we discussed the price. Brilliant

Well done Coffee Station.! Reviews have been left.
From Chelmsford to Stratford on the Liverpool Street train. Then the quick walk to Stratford International station. And a direct train to Strood. And an Uber to the BCA site to collect a Ford Transit Luton van.

As usual the process here is simple and the van was called for. Unfortunately it has a flat battery so had a wait.

The drive back to Aylesbury was wet and rainy. I took the usual route. A2 then M25. Dartford crossing and round the north to the A41

.
This was two of the four jobs I had today.
The other two from Portbury BCA near Bristol to Aylesbury. And another from BCA Preston to Aylesbury. Were done by two people I subcontracted to do the jobs.
Thanks to both of them.
Tomorrow would be even more challenging.
