Early start today to take the car , a 23 plate Seat Ateca from Perrys Aylesbury to PE282DR a postcode outside Huntingdon called which used to be RAF Wyton. Now, a huge vehicle storage and prep centre for various different companies, today's being Motability. The biggest vehicle fleet in the country. Who supply the disabled community in this country with vehicles for a part of their disability allowance. More on this lot later ! But a quick flashback to my hilarious experience back in 1994 of one of Motabilitys customers.

At Fiat in West London. One of my first management roles in the motor trade. One of our, "least patient" for want of a better phrase, Italian sales executives. Had two male customers at his desk. Upon taking the address of these customers, who obviously were together, which was in Liverpool Street London. A hugely expensive area to live now. The same apartment now would be around £3500 per month. Anyway they paid £900 back in 94. Well, they didn't. The government did. My salesman took great offense at their luck of getting this paid for them. So he was hostile from the off. When they explained they were in our dealership for a "Motability" car and their disability payments were for suffering with HIV and they had arrived in our wonderful country only 6 months prior to this. He exploded and as usual for him, said the wrong thing(s). The two Spanish men . Yes no love lost between the Spanish and Italians started to verbally question him. A fight was offered and they went outside where our intrepid Italian chased the two men down Uxbridge road. Never to be seen again. Those were the days. No Google or any other reviews to worry about. The customer experience at Fiat West London was second to none.

So the car was dropped off to this huge, very secure place. Every car, and there are thousands of them. Has the keys inside. But 24 hour security and gates means it's actually a well run operation.

Taxi back to Huntingdon station for a train to Bury St Edmunds to go to Drive Vauxhall to collect a Peugeot 208 to go back to Aylesbury to Hexon cars a long standing customer.

The train from Huntingdon to Bury St Edmunds, Changes at Cambridge. A place I lived for many years. The change to the station area is remarkable. Since I inhabited, Badly I would say. It's unrecognisable now and the millions of bicycles that used to live outside are now gone. As much as I hate cyclists. This is a shame. However the place looks amazing now. When the sun is out. It's full of people sitting outside at various places and on the many concrete seats all drinking the very necessary skinny latte frappe decaf Soya milk coffeechino type things that intellectuals, and living in Cambridge obviously makes every think they are one. Simply have to drink
