Last day of a busy month turned out an easy job. Collection of a new Transit van from a regular customer, Perrys in Aylesbury. And taking it to West Byfleet in Surrey. Not a difficult long job but a horrible raining day which always makes me feel like I'm doing the wrong thing in life.
Driving these new vans is actually very good. Quite a revelation actually. They have big screen media and Sat-Nav. This one being an automatic. They are extremely comfortable and easy to drive. In fact I would prefer one over a car actually. Great driving position. High up and great view make's it very safe to drive too. You could easily drive this all day and feel no pain.
Dropped it off at the business in question. I always wonder about businesses that seem to produce little but have the most fancy and high tech offices and a reception area obviously just for show. This company makes "bespoke" a hateful word, sauna's . Yes sauna's and yes, bespoke. This reception area had various purple velvet sofa's and chairs and rather odd Indian looking object's dotted about. I hope to learn how to attach images to my posts soon but I have one attached to see what I mean. There are far too many people in the world now with more money than sense. And that gap has been growing ever larger as the years, and let's have it right. The more inherited wealth that's created. That gap is now just getting bigger, between money and sense. I believe, in reality, that the sense side of it has plumbed greater and greater depths as years go by.
I have saved my ranting about inheritance for another time.
So car delivered to the completely unnecessary business and West Byfleet station was a short, but wet walk away.
Getting to the station it was the most depressing desolate place, maybe my mood. No staff, no toilet, more worrying as I was desperate. And few train's.
Got on one eventually that seemed to stop at every house in Surrey on its painfully, in more ways than one, journey to Waterloo, ironically.
I Always enjoy the tube journey especially through the most central part of London. Zone 1
Quick northern line to Tottenham Court Road swap to my favourite Bakerloo line to Marylebone and on home to Aylesbury.
Another miserable and not so profitable day. Thankfully they don't come along often.
