Day off today. But my job on Monday is taking a car from Perrys Aylesbury. So I asked if it was possible to collect today enabling an early start Monday.
Having rung, and emailed ahead to ensure the cars availability the car was ready to go. Other than they couldn't find the keys. Common problem. Even with the high tech key cabinets they have now. These are amazing pieces of kit. Every user is registered and fingerprint taken. You enter the key box via a fingerprint recognition pad and the key you take is registered to you. Simple?
No, like everything else it's only as good and reliable as the people who enter the information. And given that this is usually sales people. And like most people, but worse. They will only do the bare minimum for each given task throughout the day. So when entering a car (the correct way is by entering the make, model and registration number, in CAPS please? ). You sometimes simply get red ForD fIESA. .
So car collected and stored at home.
(Apart from the taking it to IKEA to utilise it's carrying capacity, it's a Motability return, so what) Don't judge. I'm the boss. Do as I say, not as I do. 🤣
