My experience and time doing this work has given me the choices now to choose jobs to maximise my time. And finances. I now after a short time, have developed contacts in the business to become my credit customer base. So, when I get jobs from them. I then only use the other job platforms to either get to the destination, or get back from it. Ot as close as possible.

So today was was that mixture of jobs. I already had a job to collect a car from Swindon for my regular customer in Aylesbury. So I spent some time over the next few days that I had until this job, looking for a job to take to Swindon. Obviously it doesn't have to go from Aylesbury where I live. Travelling to get the car to take to Swindon is searched in a way the travelling method gets me to Swindon in plenty of time to then collect the regular customer job and get back.

Today's choice was a trip to Mercedes Benz in Loughton North east London . Therefore a ticket is booked to enable me to arrive around 9-9.30am at the Mercedes dealer and start my day there. had to snap a quick photo of this amazing Mercedes GT AMG in the showroom What a colour!

To do this. Leaving Aylesbury railway station at 7.00am arriving at London Marylebone and hour later then take the Bakerloo line to Oxford Circus, never a really busy station that early in the day. Then jump on the central line to Debden understand station. Which is a nine minute walk to Mercedes Benz of Loughton .

Collected the 67 plate Mercedes C class from them after the usual 15 minutes wait for an interested person to deal with me.

Driving these cars I really understand the attraction of Mercedes. Always a good drive very comfortable and easy to get used to. They do nothing exceptionally well. But at the same time have a presence and do everything you, or 99% of people really need.

So a very easy drive once out of the local area and onto Swindon. All very relaxed.

Arrived safely at the destination via, the very close, M11 towords the M25 and round to the M4 west. About a two hour drive.

The Sytner Select site in Swindon is a covered, for the customer. Used car sales site. Very professional and well run as you would expect.

The car was accepted, once I had completed the digital appraisal and sent and I summoned up an Uber to take me to Volvo Swindon to collect the car for the homeward leg.

Volvo is on the edge of Swindon and a shortish journey for Uber driver Mohammed who's questioning about my job led to the usual question " How do I get into that?"

Well at that time I was planning my Just1idea@work.com to enable people to do just this. Have a look!

At Volvo Swindon I was collecting a Jeep Renegade. I like Jeep cars and trucks. Although the brand is now firmly entrenched under the Stellantis umbrella. It does still represent some good rugged vehicles. I hired one of these in Sicily and drove it 6000 feet up mount Etna. Sounds hard but not as hard as you think. But great fun nonetheless.

Jeep Renegade Collected
Jeep to Aylesbury

Volvo showroom again. Full of overstuffed slim fitting, supposedly cool clothes on salesmen's sad old overweight body's. So I was directed to sit and wait until someone came to deal with me and get me the disgusting trade car that I was making them lower themselves to deal with.

Waiting in Volvo's Showroom Nice coffee
Volvo customer coffee..

Car collected and appraised, paid for and appraisal sent to my customer. I set off for Aylesbury via the M4 East. M25 and eventually the A41 to my customer.

Then the short, if lucky, wait for a bus.

Two jobs, good money. Good day.
